Hey Friend , before we start just want to share a experience of mine where i understood why creativity is the best skill that will help you understand the creativity.
recently i have given a various job interviews hopefully i got the job in reputable company. but during this i understood something that how much your creative skill and mindset with a strong character matters.
what i observe is interview is mostly focus on the understanding your behavior ,mindset and check for the basic skills requirements. after the interview end the interviewer said to all of us that what they are mostly looking for in the fresher is the creativity and mind set, and recently i got asked question on the Quora the same thing so i decided to write this blog to help you understand why creativity matter irrespective of the whether you are artist or not.
Creativity🧠:
Creativity doesn’t come from doing the same thing every day. creativity means generating new ideas and solutions for the problem. just like how Elon musk had solve the problem of high cost space exploration through his creativity .so try something beyond your usual reel scroll- may be watching documentary ,podcast ,do travels. and most important talk to the people with same mindset.so now after understanding creativity we would look out for the ways you can improve your creativity.

How can you improve creativity?
these are all scientifically backed and advisable point for inspiring and improving your creativity.
1.try new inputs :
your mind can only create with what you feed it. the more diverse your input -books ,people ,place ,cultures -the richer your outputs becomes. like start by clean your teeth with left hand if your right handed person early in the morning.
creativity doesn’t always need pressure sometimes it’s exposure.
challenge for you:
this week ,consume one thing that’s not in your comfort zone -maybe a documentary, book even a deep conversation.
then note what idea it sparks .
Feel the shift? Share this with a friend who needs it. Creativity multiplies when it’s shared.
New input breaks your usual thought patterns and forces your brain to form fresh connections—a concept known as “schema disruption.” Psychologists call this the remote association effect, where unrelated ideas click together to spark creativity. Even without trying, your brain starts remixing what it absorbs—just like that student who linked tribal culture with business strategy
2.create creative tension:
most people thinks creativity needs total freedom but real innovation often happens when you are limited-by time ,money, or tools .constrain don’t block creativity they challenge it.

take Kiran mazumdar, one of the India’s top biotech entrepreneurs. when she started bio cone in the late 1970 ,she had barley had capital ,faced bias as a women in business, and worked out of rented garage.
instead of baking out she used constrains to think lean, innovate locally, and build India’s most respected pharma companies.
Psychologically, this is called creative tension. When your brain has fewer options, it’s forced to make smarter choices. Constraints sharpen focus, reduce overwhelm, and trigger more original thinking. As research shows—doing more with less often leads to breakthrough ideas.
3.divergent thinking:
it means coming up with the multiple solution to single problem.
instead of asking “what’s the right Ans?”, lets ask what are the all possible Ans. it’s core of real creativity.
take the inspiration from the “DR. APJ Abdul kalam sir -India’s missile man.” he wasn’t just scientist he was a visionary who continuously exploring new angles while leading missile development, he encourage his team brainstorm multiple ways to solve problem – even one that seems outside of box.
That mindset led to breakthroughs that made India a leader in space and defense tech.

4.Follow Your Curiosity:
Sometimes the best ideas don’t come from big goals—they come from small sparks of curiosity. That random “what if” question or urge to explore something unfamiliar? Don’t ignore it—it might lead to your next breakthrough.
Take Varun Agarwal, a young Indian entrepreneur who was just curious about why alumni merch didn’t exist in India like it does abroad. That small question led him to create Alma Mater, one of India’s first startups selling custom college merchandise. No business plan, no MBA—just curiosity, hustle, and execution.
Curiosity boosts dopamine—the brain’s motivational chemical. Psychologists say it enhances learning, memory, and idea generation. When you’re curious, you naturally absorb more, connect better, and think deeper. Following curiosity isn’t a distraction—it’s often the doorway to innovation.

Takeaway: Creativity Isn’t a Gift—It’s a Skill You Build.
Whether it’s exposing yourself to new input, embracing constraints, thinking in multiple directions, or simply following your curiosity—creativity grows when you train your brain to see beyond the obvious. It’s not about being born “creative.
” It’s about staying open, consistent, and bold enough to think differently.
